Follow these easy steps to create your steam room or steam shower
Find a dry space for the steam generator - loft, cupboard or recess - within 5m (16’) of the steam room. Where space is restricted the A series with side access is best.
Work out the cubic metre size of the area you want to fill with steam (width x depth x height - for example a 1200mm square shower with a height of 2100 mm would be 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.1 = 3m³) and depending how well the area is insulated, select the right power generator from the chart.
Helo offers generators with features such as high output for larger rooms, "Soft Steam" for continuous comfortable humidity and "Warm Start" for instant steam. Choose the model that’s right for you from the A, M, N or Basic series.
If you are using a shower enclosure for steam, you will need to decide how to keep the steam in - either with an acrylic dome or a purpose built roof above the door with tiles or Helo ceiling panels.
Choose a door, either from our range of steam doors or a shower door - most shower doors will leak a little steam, but no more than from a hot shower, and this actually helps maintain humidity.
Build a seat or bench to relax on, or fit one of Helo’s convenient fold-up seats, useful when space is needed for showering.
| Enhance the steam bathing experience with mood-lighting, music or aroma therapy - all featured in our price list. | |
